The Writer Doc is Still Breathing

Yeah, Josey got it right. You gotta get plumb mad-dog mean and fight for what is right in this world. Don’t be quiet, and think your friendly neighbor is going to take care of it for you because if you live and don’t fight for a cause, why are you living?

Now, to the point. Some of my readers may be wondering what has happened to me, or if my fingers have stopped working and am unable to write anymore. In essence, this is a short note to say I am still alive and kicking ass. Although, it seems, sometimes I end up kicking my own skinny ass more often than not.

Don’t give up on Carson. I’ll be writing some more blogs down the road, but I must admit, Ollie has asked me to tackle that book about him, and I don’t know how long he has to live, so I am going to have to somehow find him and do a whole lot of interviews with him so that I can portray his extra-ordinary life properly on paper. The problem is, he only shows up when he wants to, and he barely tells me enough information to fulfill my desire for knowledge, and I know he does it on purpose in order to give me just enough information to inspire me to figure it out myself, without getting me in trouble with the people he said would chase me, simply, because he has chosen me, for some reason, to get a little closer to his hermit-like limping magnificence of being.
