She Loves to Drive

She knows only one speed, and that’s a speed that you have never come close to because you were afraid to try. She’s fast but never furious; speedy, but sure of herself and calmly confident in her skill. She has no time to waste, but sometimes she does slow down just to enjoy the scenery, yet unfortunately, the problem is that others can’t help but stare at her at the wheel —enjoying the scenery that she provides naturally, herself.

You know who we are talking about: men stare because they cannot help their innate attraction and women simply admire her looks, wishing they looked at least a little like her and envied her independent liveliness. You see, she owns that look of confidence, but also a dangerous smile that easily will captivate a man’s heart at the stoplight, and then immediately squeeze that red beating muscle of his until it begs for human mercy.  She will beat you, but she will do it with class —not just on the road, but in most any venture or activity she chooses, simply by smiling at you and then saying, “I guess I get lucky sometimes.” She will never rub it in, unless of course you make the dreadful mistake of asking for it.

But when she drives her convertible corvette in the summer, her hair blows in all directions at once, causing her to occasionally brush it away from her face and eyes so she can see the road safely and all the while the gawkers don’t realize they are hypnotized by this heavenly angel, until they swerve on the road to avoid an accident.  You see, they can’t help but wonder, after briefly glimpsing her partially revealing blouse, what she is wearing that is not revealed:  a short dress with heels or tight jeans, perhaps.   But if there is an accident of course, it is never her fault because she is just who she was born to be, and perhaps, not of this earth and so far, she has not yet been declared illegal on the road.

And of course, we must all fight to keep her legal on the road.
