A Little explanation About Talon

Talon started as a square, non -descript block of wood, I don’t know what kind, probably pine. One of my patients decided to give me a gift for my services. He said he carved wood for a hobby and would create anything I wanted, and even offered to have me review a magazine of examples. At first I told him no, that was too much work, but he insisted and so I acquiesced and said, “a bald eagle”. Despite painful arthritic hands, he handed me this beautiful carved bald eagle after countless hours of labor and months of work. Talon now sits in my great room, overlooking my house and constantly reminding me of the beauty of nature, the majestic strength of our national bird, and of course, the selfless labor of kindness by my patient.
Many thanks, Mr. B. and good health.
