Well, since Ollie has entered my life, I’ve learned quite a few things. Since he entered my life in June, 2022, when I met him on the beach walking with a cane, and then, at the beach bar on multiple interesting occasions, he’s taught me a lot about life. The list is long, and I am not sure I’ll remember all of his influence, but a brief list would include honor, integrity, humility, perseverance, patriotism and the love of God and his son Jesus. And perhaps, us average people sometimes underestimate the power of older people, and we have no idea about how many courageous people are serving our country around the world silently and skillfully, without asking for recognition or rewards.

There is a lot I don’t know about this mysterious old man, but I hope soon he will decide to give me more information about his life to share, especially if he wants me to write his book, but until then, I am going to thank him for teaching me one thing that I am enjoying right now:

Guinness Stout Beer!

Yeah, he introduced it to me at the beach bar in 2022 and here I am, tonight, drinking Guinness stout beer while devouring a large bowl of buttered popcorn while watching football. I wonder what he’s doing right now, or where he is. But I’m feeling good right now and I feel that he is doing ok, probably on a beach somewhere getting a tan to contrast with his tornado-like arctic white hair.

I wonder what my readers have learned from him?
